Inhalt
Kommentar This course draws from Anthropology and feminist theory using relevant ethnographic case-studies to help understand how gender functions across the world as a factor which structures all social relations. The course explores relationships between men and women, men and men, women and women, as personal and sexual relations, intersecting with principal units and actors as the household, the labour market and the state and factors as social class and race. The course focusses on how gender relations and practices are performed in different cultures, the role of gender in processes of social transformation and the impact of industrialisation and migration on gender relations.
