The seminar addresses and practices the basic techniques of literary analysis and interpretation using examples from different genres. It is closely connected to the concepts introduced and explicated in the lecture ‘Introduction to English and American Literary Studies’ (52 501). It offers participants the opportunity to actively and independently engage with the theories and models dealt with in the lecture, in relation to a broad range of examples. At the same time methods and techniques of scholarly research will be addressed: how to hold presentations, research strategies, dealing with scholarly resources etc. Please register via AGNES.
