This class is designed to give participants the opportunity to read about and discuss current events, political, social, and cultural developments, and issues of general interest in the U.S. Participants will complete weekly readings at home and take part in discussions. In addition, students will participate in writing, editing and organization exercises and develop a term paper (7-10 pp.). One in-class presentation is required.
