This course deals with text formats typical for academic writing occasions, such as definitions, abstracts and essays. Students will acquire and practice key writing strategies and the fundamentals of effective organization and authoritative tone. Emphasis is on improving flow, cohesion and the logical development of ideas. Several shorter assignments and three essays in class (350 words).
