The aim of this seminar is to contrast central and well-studied morphological categories with less central and less well-understood ones. E.g., how do regular combinations of lexemes differ from synthetic compounds, pseudo-compounds, phrasal compounds, converted compounds, and backformations, on the one hand, or from combinations containing affixoids as well as bleached, shifted or metaphorical constituents on the other. |
