In recognition of the centrality of oral/aural skills for language students and in keeping with the growing popularity of audiobooks and digital media, this course uses classic short stories by British, Irish and American authors to develop skills such as recognizing context clues, listening for detail, using advanced grammatical structures and improvising convincingly as well as providing students with an opportunity to enjoy different writing genres, the twist in the tale, horror, irony and humour.
