This course will help the student/author develop the skills needed to write an academic term paper: examining the requirements of the “genre,” developing a thesis, outlining, paragraphing, flow/coherence, documentation, academic tone and style, revising for clarity, revising for wordiness, revising the rough draft, giving peer responses, etc. There will be one shorter paper (2-3 pages), and one longer paper (5 pp.), as well as exercises each week. |
