This course will explain the working environment of conference interpreting and will introduce participants to the basic skills pertaining to the mode of Simultaneous Interpreting (listening and memory skills, reformulation and summary techniques, impromptu translation, etc.). It is structured with targeted progressive exercises and participants will practise simultaneous interpreting with authentic speeches (predominantly English to German). This course is ideal for language students interested in gaining a basic knowledge about the world of Conference interpreting. Number of participants: Class limited to 15 participants.
