April 2011 In this course students will familiarize themselves with the styles, techniques and discoursal features of essay writing in the English-speaking world by engaging in analytical and creative reflection on a number of themes relating to literary and cultural life in Britain. Participants will have the opportunity to analyse essays written in English and to practise and improve their own argumentative, discursive and descriptive style in essay writing, focusing in particular on structural, ideational and rhetorical appropriacy. max. 15 Teilnehmer |
