Im Großen Master als Seminartyp: "Theoriegeleitetes Forschen und Handeln-Seminar" Understanding Learning – Understanding Teaching: reflecting concepts and principles in foreign language education Theories of language acquisition and language learning are cornerstones in language teachers’ professional knowledge. Ideas about language and how they are learned determine classrooms more than is visible to the naked eye. Therefore, the seminar will reflect on a variety of theoretical approaches and their implications for language teaching. Also, students will have the opportunity to reflect their own beliefs concerning language learning and teaching and thus take a step forward in their process of professionalisation. Full participation is mandatory. Participants kindly note that they will be asked to hand in regular assignments and a final portfolio at the end of term (=beginning of February) on an obligatory basis for their final grades (MAP).
