This course covers the basic skills needed for an academic presentation: how to choose an appropriate topic, how to develop a thesis, how to structure a presentation, how to deliver a presentation, and how to respond to questions. Each student is required to give one short, informative presentation, one fifteen to twenty minute “academic” presentation and to participate in class discussions.
