In this course, we will explore current problems and debates relating to the gendered effects of globalization. We will examine the manner in which gender relations are transformed in the course of global economic restructuring and socioeconomic changes. Moreover, we will discuss women’s political responses and strategies to overcome gender inequalities. This seminar is closely related to the course “Governing Gender Order. The Role of the State and International Organizations” by Dr. Gülay Caglar. Thus, it is strongly recommended to attend both courses. This course is also opened to students of the International Master in Rural Development and MA Agricultural Economics. |
