This course explores the role of grammar in language education, focusing on both theoretical foundations and practical applications. Students will examine key linguistic theories of grammar, including structural, functional, and generative approaches, and how these frameworks inform the teaching and learning of English. Emphasizing both traditional and contemporary perspectives, the course will provide an in-depth understanding of the relationships between grammar and language proficiency, second language acquisition, and pedagogy.
