This course concentrates on improving the English skills you will need as a historian or a social scientist. We will work on both your presentation skills and on your writing and reading skills. We will practice our spoken English by giving the sorts of presentations historians often give both academic and non-academic - for example, in a museum, or on a historic walking tour of Berlin. To improve our written English, we will work on both our academic and our journalistic skills. The grade for the course will be based on your oral and written work, on an exam, and on class participation.
Voraussetzung: Online-Einstufungstest mit 65 bis 100 Punkten.
