Kommentar

In this seminar, we explore some examples of the use of randomization and probabilistic techniques in the analysis and design of algorithms.

During the seminar, the participants will read original research papers, write a seminar report and give a presentation on a selected topic.

The seminar is aimed at advanced students who have a strong interest in theoretical computer science and algorithmic questions. The participants should be comfortable in reading and writing mathematical proofs and have some familiarity with basic probability theory.
Bemerkung

The language of the seminar will be English.
