Lern- und Qualifikationsziele
Students will learn basic tools from complex analalysis which are very useful all over physics.
Voraussetzungen
Knowledge of real analysis is desirable, but some reminders will be given at the beginning of the course.
Gliederung / Themen / Inhalte
This is an introductory course to the study of functions of the complex variable. Topics will include: holomorphic/analytic functions, harmonic functions, meromorphic functions, Cauchy's formula, residue theorem, analytic continuation, Riemann mapping theorem.
