This works in progress seminar is open to BA, MA and PhD students currently writing their thesis. It will be interdisciplinary. This means it can be an interdisciplinary thesis OR a thesis within a discipline, written with a desire to be understood by scholars and peers from other disciplines. For PhD students, both manuscript and thesis by articles are welcome. Thesis written in any discipline are welcome, but a focus on human-environment transitions will be common to many of the participants. Writing can be in German or English. Students will be expected to present two draft pieces of writing during the term and to attend the course regularly in order to offer feedback to their peers.
We will meet in-person every other week for 3 hours, in each course meeting we will discuss two ‘works in progress’ and also address common writing issues for BA, MA and PhD thesis writers. We start the course the second week of term, on October 25.
