The participants are working on a research project on the legal situation of child marriages worldwide. As part of the course, an internet portal will be created that will provide information on foreign legislative and judicial practice with regard to marriages of minors. The group members will establish contacts with experts from foreign legal systems and evaluate information on the topic. The research of the project group is to serve as a pilot project for a comprehensive information portal that documents the legal status in most legal systems and will be available to authorities, courts, research institutions and human rights organisations in the future. This will provide the opportunity to acquire comparative knowledge in the fundamentals of other legal systems.

Kinderehe und Recht - Monitoring der rechtlichen Behandlung von Frühehen
Die Teilnehmer*innen arbeiten an einem Forschungsprojekt zur rechtlichen Situation von Kinderehen weltweit. Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung wird ein Internetportal erstellt, das über die ausländische Gesetzgebungs- und Rechtsprechungspraxis in Bezug auf Eheschließungen von Personen unter 18 Jahren informiert. Die Projektteilnehmer*innen bauen Kontakte zu Expert*innen ausländischer Rechtsordnungen auf und werten Informationen zum Thema aus. Die Forschung der Projektgruppe soll als Pilotprojekt für ein umfassendes Informationsportal dienen, das den Rechtszustand in den meisten Rechtsordnungen dokumentiert und perspektivisch Behörden, Gerichten, Forschungseinrichtungen und Menschenrechtsorganisationen zur Verfügung steht. Dadurch ist die Möglichkeit gegeben, vergleichende Kenntnisse in den Grundlagen anderer Rechtsordnungen zu erwerben.
