Anna Tsings Feldberichte im Feral Atlas (2020) erzählen von wilden, ungezähmten Ökologien. Diese gehen zwar auf von Menschen konstruierte Infrastruktur zurück, entfalten sich aber über die menschliche Kontrolle hinaus und sind durch mehr-als-menschliche Akteure geprägt. Diese Perspektive rebelliert gegen eine anthropozentrische Lesart des Anthropozäns und kritisiert tradierte Konzepte der Reinheit und Kontamination. Wir fragen uns: Wie könnte ein Feral Atlas von Berlin aussehen? Mit dem X-Tutorial möchten wir Orte kontaminierter Diversität in den Stadträumen Berlins erforschen. Kreativ-gestalterische Übungen sollen Besprochenes und vor Ort Entdecktes aufnehmen und in innovative Wissensformate transferieren. Ziel des X-Tutorials ist die Publikation eines Magazins, das aus wissenschaftlich-künstlerischen Beiträgen der Studierenden besteht.

Becoming contaminated. Exploring the ruins of purity
Anna Tsing’s Feral Atlas (2020) collects field reports of wild, untamed ecologies. Although these can be traced back to infrastructures designed by humans, they unfold beyond human control and are shaped by more-than-human actors. This perspective resists an overly human-centered reading of the Anthropocene and challenges traditional concepts of purity and contamination. The question is: what might a Feral Atlas of Berlin look like? Together, we will explore places of contaminated diversity in Berlin's urban spaces. Using artistic experiments, we will take what we discussed and discovered on site and translate it into innovative ways of knowing. The X-Tutorial concludes with the publication of a magazine consisting of artistic and scientific contributions by the students.
