Das Seminar dient der intensiven Lektüre von Grundlagentexten über aktuelle Herausforderungen, die das Lokale mit dem Globalen verbinden. Dabei sollen einerseits Lektürefähigkeiten erworben und verbessert, andererseits Einblicke in wichtige Perspektiven auf aktuelle Themen gewonnen werden. Gleichzeitig dient das Seminar der Einübung in das skalare Denken, also die Verbindung mehrerer sozialräumlicher Ebenen von lokal bis global.
The seminar is devoted to the close reading of standard texts about current challenges that combine local and global dimensions. Students are supposed to improve their reading skills, to acquire insight into relevant perspectives on contemporary issues and to practice scalar thinking, i.e. linking different spatial levels ranging from the local to the global. The course will be in English if there are participants who are not fluent in German. |
