This course aims to sharpen awareness of linguistic differences between German and English academic and popular-scientific prose via translation from German into English. Students will investigate typical semantic, grammatical and stylistic features of these genres in each language and translate a selection of relevant German texts dealing with literary and cultural themes into English. This course will be taught digitally (synchronously and asynchronously).
