This course covers various international, internationalised and domestic jurisdictions that were or are addressing international crimes, broadly understood. Particular attention will be given to the International Criminal Court (ICC), the permanent international criminal jurisdiction. The objective of the course is twofold: first, to gain an understanding of the individual jurisdictions, including their procedural laws. second, to identify common threads and issues across the jurisdictions under review. Students are invited to prepare a paper and give a presentation on one of the topics.
