The course will look at differences between German and English academic texts. We will contrast key differences in grammar, style and usage, focusing on typical problem fields for non-English writers and analyse characteristic text features in English academic prose. Coursework will focus on texts from the field of English and American studies. Students will produce translations and summary translations and work with online workshops, peer reviews and editing techniques. Blended course.
