A common feature of intellectual, academic, and popular discourse, panel discussions rely on conventional forms of discursive exchange. This course focuses on developing students’ ability to participate confidently and effectively in panel discussions, both as panellists and audience members. Material will cover the language of argumentation, the presentation of ideas, and the polite exchange of views.
