The thematic focus of this course is on historical and current events that have shaped and continue to shape the UK. By also working on specific problem areas of grammar and style, students will have the opportunity to improve their accuracy and range in written English.
Format: If it is not possible to meet in person, this class will take place online via Zoom (mostly synchronous with some asynchronous tasks). If for technical or personal reasons you are not able to participate in online seminars, please get in touch with me before the start of the semester so that we can consider alternatives.
