This course will use excerpts and short texts to introduce a range of key theories in Literary Studies. Students will become familiar with the terminology from the field and expand their range of general academic language. They will apply them in short analyses and response papers on their choice of literary text. The course will provide plenty of opportunity to practice writing skills, reference and quote correctly and effectively edit texts to improve precision in writing.
