This seminar aims to have a look at modern-day America, delving into issues of culture, politics, society, sport and the media. The main focus of this course is on developing presentation techniques such as the formulation of convincing arguments and the analysis of various speakers’ rhetorical skills. Be prepared to actively participate and to give oral presentations (individually/in groups) as well as handing in written summaries of what was presented, receiving feedback from both the instructor and your peers. This will be an online course and the presentations will also be online.
