The course practices strategies for finding a topic, organizing academic material, identifying and quoting sources and producing well-written academic essays. Students will also have a chance to write academic abstracts and produce academic outlines for their essays. The course will use peer reviews and introduce effective proofreading and revision techniques. Some of the work will be collaborative writing. Topics will be chosen by each student from their academic seminars. A Reader is intended to be made available at Sprintout so that you do not have to navigate the screen the whole time. Classes to be held via zoom with some individually paced writing stretches.
