Kommentar

In this seminar we will be engaging in a close reading and discussion of a selection of key texts in which Plotinus addresses the problem of providence.  Some of the chief issues here concern Plotinus’ commitments regarding determinism, personal freedom, the limits of divine knowledge and activity, and reincarnation.  All are welcome to attend, but please note that the texts will be read in the original Greek and translated into English (or German, if one prefers).
