This seminar focuses on Machine Learning (ML) for linguistics. Specifically, the course shows how deep learning methods are applied in empirical research in linguistics to extract linguistic information from corpora, which can then be used for the automatic large-scale analysis of linguistic data. We will introduce the theoretical backgrounds of ML and present concrete applications from our own project work. |
