Panel discussions develop students’ versatility in spontaneous and extemporaneous speech and are particularly suited for students hesitant to speak in front of an audience. Students will collaborate on researching contemporary issues and prepare the material for the individual roles in the panel discussions, adopting different roles over the course of the semester. They will thus acquire a set of linguistic and rhetoric tools that is useful for seminar discussions and academic presentations.
