Introduction

The seminar is designed to explore the range of gendered analysis in the culturally diverse context of Berlin. Using with a hybrid and interdisciplinary approach, spanning Sociology, Architecture, Philosophy, Literature, Geography and Urban Planning.

This bilingual seminar is organized as a part of the seminar series “Berlin in Dialogue” for refugee, German, and international students by the Berlin Institute for Integration and Migration research with financial support from Kultur-, Sozial- und Bildungswissenschaftliche Fakultät. The seminars have been granted the prize “Menschen mit Hintergrund” by the university of Regensburg and the BAMF in December 2016.

Course outline ___________________________________________________________________________

Part I.  The trilogy of Gender, Space and Body

The first part of the seminars will be dedicated to Space, body and gender, their political, socio- economic and cultural dimensions. Focusing on their interdependent and multilayered relationships. It will encompass analysis of femininities and masculinities in relation to place. 

Part II. The Topography of Gender

The second part of the seminars will focus on the complex and multi-layered sphere of influences of gender. It will also consider the connection or the interdependencies between gender and following topics.

• Violence, Intersectionality of power and difference
• Post- colonialism, migration and Transnationalism
• Embodied geopolitics, war, religion
• nature, environment and resources
• family and work - Gendered labour: Power practices and binaries of production and social reproduction

Part III. The geography of Gender

Gender, diversity and multiculturalism will be the central themes of our focus in this part. With the goal of understanding the relation between gender identity, the city of Berlin and its development. It assess the process of involvement or non/ involvement of migrants from developing countries living in post-colonial western European society of Berlin from the perspective of gender relations

مقدمة

هذه الحلقات الدراسية مصممة لاستكشاف مجموعة من التحليلات الخاصة بالجندر في سياق مدينة برلين متعددة الثقافات. وذلك باستخدام نهج هجين من علوم متداخلة يمتد لعلم الاجتماع والهندسة والفلسفة والأدب والجغرافيا وتخطيط المدن.

صممت هذه الحلقات الدراسية مزدوجة اللغة كجزء من سلسلة "برلين في حوار" المخصصة للاجئين والطلاب الألمان والأجانب والتي أعدها معهد برلين لبحوث الاندماج والهجرة وبتمويل من كلية العلوم الثقافية والاجتماعية.

في ديسمبر 2016 حصلت هذه الحلقات الدراسية على جائزة من جامعة ريغنسزبورغ ومن وزارة اللاجئين والهجرة الألمانية.

ملخص الكورس

الجزء الأول - ثلاثية الجندر والمكان والجسد

سيكرس هذا الجزء على المكان والجسد والجندر وأبعادهم السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية وكذلك الثقافية. وسيتم التركيز على علاقاتهم المترابطة والمتعددة الطبقات. وكذلك سيتضمن البحث تحليلات الأنوثة والذكورة بالنسبة للمكان.

الجزء الثاني - طبوغرافيا الجندر

سيكرس الجزء الثاني على تعقيدات تأثير الجندر وتعدد طبقاته. وكذلك الصلات والترابط بين الجندر والمواضيع التالية:

• العنف وتقاطع القوة والاختلاف.
• ما بعد الاستعمار، والهجرة وتجاوز القوميات.
• سياسات جغرافية مجسة. الحرب والدين.
• الطبيعة والبيئة والموارد الطبيعية.
• العائلة والعمل. العمل الموسوم بالجندر. ممارسات القوة والثنائية الانتاج واعادة الانتاج الاجتماعي.

الجزء الثالث - جغرافيا الجندر

الجندر والتعددية الثقافية سيكونان الموضوعان الأساسيان في هذا الجزء. بهدف فهم العلاقة بين الهوية الجندرية ومدينة برلين وتطورها. وتدرس عملية مشاركة أو عدم مشاركة اللاجئين من الدول النامية والذين يعيشون في مجتمع برلين الأوروبي الغربي ما بعد الاستعماري من منظور العلاقات الجندرية.
