2015 is the year of an important UN Climate Change Conference. The objective of the 2015 conference is to achieve a mandatory and universal agreement on climate change for all the nations of the world. The international summit will be held in Paris in December. Our course will analyze climate policies from a gender perspective. We will ask how climate change is linked to gender relations, how men and women in the Global North and the Global South are affected by environmental hazards and how climate justice can be connected to gender justice. The course combines empirical analysis with the theoretical reference frame of sustainable livelihoods. |
