This seminar explores the political economy of labor through a historical lens. We examine quantitative research on key topics such as the causes of strikes and the influence of labor unions. To build a strong foundation, we begin with practical tools for reading academic papers and interpreting econometric analyses. We also discuss key conceptual ideas related to collective action theory.
A component of the seminar is an ungraded presentation.
Required: Completion of the course "Einführung in die Ökonometrie" is required.
