Studierende des MA Asien-/Afrikastudien müssen parallel den Kurs 'Research Design Learning' belegen, um das Modul 9 erfolgreich abzuschließen.
Students of the MA Asian/African Studies also have to take the course Research Design Learning in order to successfully complete Module 9.
In the first part of this research seminar, we will examine the critical perspectives of practitioners, filmmakers and scholars on questions such as affordable housing in times of market-driven construction and lack of building land; architecture and infrastructure that enables humans (and potentially other species too) to live ‘well’ together - in cities, peri-urban or in rural regions; as well as neighborhood and coexistence in urban contexts. We will also discuss research findings that examine the topic from a spatial design perspective and look into, for instance, living and temporary homemaking on the university campus; dwelling together in rapidly changing neighborhoods, or multilocal living arrangements within and across regions or national borders. Based on this, the participants will conceptualize their own student research projects in the second part, which they continuously develop in exchange with the seminar instructor and other participants.
