In this course, students will have an opportunity to extend and improve their own written competence in English by analysing and critically interacting with a broad range of texts relating to current political, social and cultural themes in Britain. In addition to producing written responses of their own to the topics dealt with, students will also work on improving accuracy of expression and stylistic appropriacy in English and will reflect upon how they would deal with the topics discussed in the course when developing written competence within the school curriculum.
