This seminar is for students who wish to expand their knowledge of recent advances in organizational and personnel economics. The focus of the seminar lies on recent organizational and labor market trends (i.e., digitalization, telecommuting, agile work) and challenges they may bring. We will engage in in-depth discussions of empirical studies. The participants will be encouraged to work on their own research questions, develop an experimental design and an analysis plan. The format of the seminar crucially relies on the vivid exchange of ideas and thoughts among the participants in form of discussions and presentations. Therefore, the participants should be motivated to attend all sessions, take an active part in group discussions, present their ideas in front of the group, and write a seminar paper.
The seminar includes student presentation (upto 30 min. each).
