The colloquium has a focus on research in psycholinguistics. Initial classes will focus on conveying know-how related to conducting research (e.g., a very brief introduction to Latex, forms and protocols, ethics in research, and how to prepare for an interview are example topics). Based on oral presentations and discussion, colloquium participants will gain insight into methods employed in investigating language processing and language learning. Interspersed classes will focus on project work (and get students involved in ongoing research), as well as on training related to writing scientific abstracts (e.g., for a conference submission or student thesis).
The language of instruction is English.
