Join the Institute’s English language theater group “HUbbub” in rehearsing and performing Terry Pratchett’s “Wyrd Sisters.” An evil king and queen (strangely reminiscent of Lord and Lady MacBeth) have seized power in Lancre after sneakily disposing of the previous king. The only thing standing in the way of their nefarious plans now are three funny, resourceful, and insulted witches, a determined ghost, a depressed Fool nearly incapable of humor, and some mostly inept traveling players. Can the kingdom be saved?
You cannot use the Sprachpraxis registration forms or AGNES to register for this course. Auditions (no preparation necessary) and further details for those interested during the informational meeting on Friday, October 11 at 10 am (DOR 24, Room 1.501). You must attend the meeting on this day in order to be able to participate. Rehearsals will take place every week on Monday from 12-14 and Thursday from 12-14. You must be able to attend both days in order to take part. Those interested in being members of the crew (props, costumes, sets, etc.) also welcome! This course is open to students in MA American Studies (3 LP / Übung), MA English Literatures, MA Education, BA American Studies, and BA English (2 LP / Übung).
