Dieser Kurs richtet sich an alle Studierenden, die über mindestens vier Semester Swahili-Kenntnisse (mind. 16 SWS äquivalent zum Prüfungsstandard des HU-Curriculums) verfügen und ihre auditiven und mündlichen Swahili-Kenntnisse ausbauen möchten.Der Schwerpunkt des Kurses liegt auf Hörverstehen und Konversation zu landeskundlichen und kulturellen Themen aus der ostafrikanischen Lebenswelt. Ziel ist es, die fortgeschrittene Hör- und Sprechfähigkeit weiter auszubauen.
This course is designed for students who have studied Swahili for at least four semesters (at least 16 units per week, equivalent to HU curriculum and examination standards). It provides the opportunity to substantially extend one's knowledge of Swahili, especially in listening comprehension and conversation.Topics to be discussed comprise a wide array of issues in East African geography, history, politics, societies, cultures, languages, and of course, Swahili itself. An important focus is to shed some light on everyday life and current events in East Africa. The major goal of this course lies in working on one's advanced knowledge of understanding and talking Swahili, and hence taking this knowledge to the next level.
