The lecture focuses on the role of law and technology in times of global challenges. Climate change, sustainability, food and health care, cultural diversity, and access to information can no longer be effectively addressed by individual states. Nevertheless, legislators must attempt to establish a legal framework that addresses these challenges at all levels. The lecture highlights the role of patent law in technology regulation and places it in the context of other regulatory instruments. It also discusses the function of copyright law in terms of access to information and the preservation of cultural diversity. The lecture will be held in English.
Subsequent long paper („Anschließende Studienarbeit“, only for students of „Schwerpunktstudium“) and oral examination in German or English language
