Texts and topics in Aristotelian and/or post-Aristotelian Peripatetic (Theophrastus? Alexander?) natural philosophy and psychology. Good knowledge of Greek, and some prior study of Aristotle's theoretical philosophy, will be presupposed. This colloquium is primarily intended for graduate students in ancient philosophy and the history of ancient science; all others who wish to participate should write to Prof. Menn before the beginning of the semester. Dr. Robert Roreitner (Prague) will join us for the colloquium.
