Das Kolloquium bietet die Gelegenheit den aktuellen Stand, das Konzept und die Resultate von laufenden Bachelor-, Master- und Doktorarbeiten in der Abteilung Landschaftsökologie am GI zu präsentieren.

The colloquium provides the opportunity to present current state, concept and results of running Bachelor, Master and PhD projects within the Lab of Landscape and Urban Ecology at the GI.

Das Abschlusskolloquium Landschaftsökologie bietet den Raum das initiale Konzept, sowie die erreichten Forstschritte der Abschlussarbeiten in der Abteilung Landschaftsökologie vorzustellen. Alle Studierenden die Abschlussarbeiten in der Landschaftsökologie schreiben sind angehalten ihre Arbeit zweimal zu vorszustellen. Einmal in der Anfangsphase der Konzeptentwicklung (ca. 10 Min.) und einmal in der Phase wenn erste Resultate erzielt wurden (ca. 25 Min.). Im Anschluss erhalten die Studierenden Feedback von den anderen Teilnehmenden und Mitgliedern der Abteilung Landschaftsökologie bezüglich der methodischen und inhaltlichen Aspekte der Abschlussarbeit. Das Kolloquium dient auch zur Verbesserung der Kommunikations- und Präsentationsfähigkeiten.

Im Kolloquium präsentieren auch Gastwissenschaftler*innen der Abteilung Landschaftsökologie ihre aktuellen Forschungsprojekte.

Alle Studierenden, die Abschlussarbeiten schreiben sind angehalten sich aktiv an dem Koloquium zu beteiligen.

The Colloquium of Landscape Ecology provides a space for presenting initial concepts as well as progress made in Bachelor and Master’s thesis carried out within the Landscape Ecology group. All thesis students will present their work at least twice, once in the initial conceptualization phase (short presentation – 10min) and once at a stage when first results are available (~25min) in order to get constructive feedback and critical discuss methodological and thematic aspects of their respective projects with a wide range of peers (fellow students, PhD students, postdocs and faculty members). The colloquium also serves as a forum for improving presentation and communication skills.

In the colloquium guest scientists of the landscape ecology lab present their current research.

All students writing a thesis with the Landscape Ecology group are expected to participate actively in the colloquium.

Zoom-Link und Moodle /Zoom-Link and Moodle

Das Kolloquium findet digital statt. Der zugehörige Zoom-Link ist auf der Moodle-Seite des Kolloquiums zu finden. Der Einschreibeschlüssel (Selbsteinschreibung) für das Moodle wird vor dem Beginn der ersten Sitzung per E-Mail an die in AGNES eingeschriebenen Studierenden geschickt.

The colloquium wil be in digital form. The corresponding Zoom-link wil be displayed on the moodle-site of the colloquium. The enrollment-key (self-enrollment) will be sent by e-mail to the students enrolled for the course in AGNES, before the first session. 

Sprache/ Language

Das Kolloquium wird in deutscher und englischer Sprache durchgeführt. Die Sprache für die Präsentationen richtet sich nach der jeweiligen Studien- und Prüfungsordnung. In der Regel bedeutet das, dass Bachelorstudierende die Präsentation in deutscher oder englischer Sprache halten können und Masterstudierende in englischer Sprache Präsentieren müssen. Da die Feedback- und Diskussionssprache in der Regel Englisch ist wird den Bachelorstudierenden nahe gelegt ihre Präsentationsfolien in englischer Sprache zu verfassen.

The colloquium will be in german and english language. The language for the presentation depennds on the respective Study and Examination regulations. In general this means that bachelorstudents may deliver their presentations in german or english and masterstudents are required to use english. As the feedback and discussion language is english bachelorstudents are encouraged to write their presentation slides in english.

Vortrag / Oral paper

Abhängig von der Studien- und Prüfungsordnung (derzeit Monobachelor) ist zusätzlich ein Exposé der Abschlussarbeit als Modulabschlussprüfung erforderlich. (Dazu bitte die Anmelde- und Abgabefristen beachten)

Depending on the Study and Examiniation Regulations (currently applies to Monobachelor) in addition an exposé of the thesis is required as Modul-examn. (Please take note of the Sign-up and Submission deadlines)
