In recent years, a highly transdisciplinary field of politics, practice, and science has emerged that examines the role of religious communities in processes of sustainable development. A considerable part of the knowledge production in the field is done by political and practice actors as well as by religious communities themselves.
This international summer school brings together students from Ghana, Germany, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa at HU Berlin. It offers students lectures by international scholars and development practitioners. Lectures and seminar sessions will focus on topics in the academic field of religion and development as well as empirical research methods. Moreover, in joint research projects participants engage with transdisciplinary knowledge production in the field of religion and development. |
