This course is designed for students of ther German Turkish Masters Program but also open to other students of the departments. It will look into social transformations of the societies after the second World War, also, but not exclusivley in a German-Turkish comparative perspective. The focus will be on the concept of Transitional Justice as a new concept to describe the relations between the state and citizens in post-conflict/post-authoritarian societies. In doing that, the course will cover social changes in a wider perspective that impact the welfare state or have economic dimensions. |
